Mary, Mary Quite Contrary
How does your garden grow?

With great finds from Encore Resales of course!

www.vintagegardengal.com
Encore may not have what it takes to actually make your garden GROW.
But you will certainly find what it takes to help make it beautiful and to give it your own signature style.

If you are a gardener you know how important it is to have your tools handy.  Try placing this mailbox in your garden and keep your tools where you need them.  At the same time you'll be adding a little whimsy.

If you like whimsy in the garden, try this. Paint this bicycle a bright color or leave it in its awesome patina state.
(You know patina is a fancy word for rusty, but doesn't it  just sound so much better?)

If you like a little more traditional or structured look we can help with that also.  Adding pottery to your garden, patio or pool side adds an elegant feel.  With some of the large pottery we offer you can create an "old world" look in your garden.

Beauty doesn't have to come in a LARGE package.
An old flour sifter makes a perfect pot for a small container garden.  No need to add drainage holes!

Candlelight and flowers can add a special touch to any occasion.  From a wedding to an evening of sitting in your garden enjoying all your hard work.  Use birdcages and lanterns.  Both allow you to sit your arrangement on a table or hang several together.
BONUS:  the glass in the lantern will protect the candle flame from the wind!

Need a place to sit and a table to place your ice tea or lemonade down?
(A birdcage or lantern would look nice here too.)
These beauties are ready to fill that need.

See something you like?
Write down the vendor number or print the picture and take it to Encore Resales.
The staff will be happy to assist you.
(Note:  the pictures without vendor numbers were taken from different web sites in order to give you an idea of how to use what you find.  The sources are below each picture.)

Ginger
Ginger is the artist that transformed this wing back chair into an usable piece of art.  That's Ginger's passion.

Her Motto:
Rescue
Upcycle
Repurpose

It's apparent when you step into her booth.

Ginger enjoys turning everyday mundane
items into something unique but still usable.

Ginger has been painting for 30 years.
But 10 years ago she was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease.
"Every time I picked up a paintbrush I wondered if it would be my last time to paint."

(If you owned this luggage you'd have no problem distinguishing it from the others on the luggage carousel.)

Now she wants to be considered a Parkinson's survivor!

After receiving a deep brain stimulator two years ago "she has her paint brush back".

Do you have something that needs Ginger's touch?

You can commission her to transform it into your own piece of art.  Just check with the front desk at Encore Resales and they will give you her contact information.

This Little Piggy Went to Encore!!

Stay Calm & Oink On!!
We are This Little Piggy Went to Market!  This Little Piggy is all about two friends quest for shabby chic finds and designs!  The two friends behind This Little Piggy are Kim and Jeanie.  We have always loved shopping and when Kim was moving into a new apartment, we transferred our love of shopping to finding new treasures for the new house!  Our treasure hunting evolved into This Little Piggy and our booth opened in Encore last June and it’s been so much fun!
Jeanie is married to Chris and between the two of them, they can make a silk purse out of a sow’s ear!  Chris can repair most furniture issues and Jeanie makes it beautiful with paint.  Kim finds furniture and makes it over with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint (ASCP).  She does all of her work in her apartment so she needed to find a low odor paint and ASCP works wonderfully!

We love to find those cast off furniture pieces and give them new life with paint.  We also love to find cool, vintage pieces to offer the shoppers of our booth.  And if you’ve visited our booth, you know we love burlap and pink!

Like many booths in Encore, you never know what you’re going to find in ours.  Imagine this antique tobacco basket with this gorgeous new chair!

You can find anything and everything to suit your taste and style at Encore Resales!

HELLO!

My name is Elizabeth Ann and I've been a vendor at Encore Resales for a little over a year.  I really enjoy creating vignettes in my booth using antique, vintage, and sometimes quirky items.  I  also love finding forlorn furniture and giving it new life with paint.  For many years I have wanted a "shop" of my own that I would call Elizabeth Ann'sMy booth at Encore satisfies that desire but leaves time for and helps to support one of my favorite things...
"JUNKIN"!!
Like Encore, at Elizabeth Ann's you never know what you will find.
My booth style is all over the place...

Elizabeth Ann's Blog header pretty much sums it up

SHABBY VINTAGE RUSTIC INDUSTRIAL ANTIQUE & more

I guess that makes it....

Eclectic (Ĭ-klěk'-tīk) adj.
                                         1. selecting or choosing from various sources.
                                         2. made up of what is selected from different sources.

But you know.....it seems to work!
I'm usually in the store several times a week, hopefully I'll see you there.
Be sure to check back here soon to meet other Encore Resales' vendors.
Joyfully,
Elizabeth Ann

WELCOME!

Hello!  Welcome to the Encore Resales BLOG!
Encore Resales is a family owned and run business that opened in Pelham, AL in August of 2009.  Owners Michael and Marina Carey’s goal is that you will be met with a smile when you enter the store.  Their new addition, Braxton, joined the team in October 2010 and will often be found ‘running the show’ at the front counter!  The rest of the Encore staff includes Marina’s sister Carla, her Dad Steve and Mom Brenda and various other family and friends who strive to assist you in finding exactly what you’re looking for!
Braxton - a.k.a. "the Boss"

Encore Resales has a huge selection of new and consigned furniture, home décor, and children’s clothing.  Encore offers 27,000 square feet of shopping space with over 1000 consignors and more than 65 vendors!!  There aren’t many places you can find a brand new sofa sectional along with an antique sofa table and custom painted lamps to match.  You’re sure to always find something eclectic and unusual at Encore!
This is just the back portion of our building, there's more space up front ready for you to explore.
On our blog, we’re going to highlight items in the store, introduce you to our vendors and try to get to know you, the customer!
We tell people all the time...."take your time and have fun looking because you’re going to be here a while!!".
Something else we tell people......

“You better buy it when you see it because tomorrow, it’ll be gone”!
